Oreo Bark

Who knew such deliciousness could be had in just a short period of prep time?!?!

2 Ingredients Necessary - White Chocolate and Oreo Cookies

Use either an 8 inch round or square baking pan, and place an overlapping piece of wax paper in it.

I used 3 bars of Ghirardelli White Chocolate baking bars. The outside package is labeled 4 oz. However when you melt it down each square is equal to half an ounce. In total 9 oz of melted white chocolate.

Crush 32 Oreo cookies - either by placing them in a gallon baggie and smashing them up or in a plastic bowl and smash them down. Personally the baggie holds them in place better, but either way works.

Place chocolate into a microwave safe dish (glass works best) and microwave at 50% power for 1 minute 30 seconds. Remove and stir, if needed repeat the process at 30 seconds each time until melted .

Once the chocolate has been melted, stir in the crushed Oreo  leaving about 1/4 cup to use as topping. When all of the Oreo pieces have been coated with the white chocolate, pour into your baking pan on top of the wax paper. Spread it out evenly, add remaining crushed Oreo, and chill until hardened.

This can be served at room temp or chilled. To add some flair try using Oreo cookies from the various holidays with the colored filling  and for the upcoming Holiday season a nice add would be crushed peppermint candies!

Lots of Headbands!

Ok, so I may be on the verge of headband overload, but I just keep finding awesome ideas! This one I found is shear Fabulous-ness! With a few materials, and a little bit of time, and a little bit of materials you can dress up any outfit.

While the kids are outside playing in the snow, I think I may have to just scare up some materials to make this crafty piece of headband art.

Project with the kids.

So, I have a new obsession with Pinterest. It has given me tons of ideas, and wants for my home. Not to mention all the craft projects! So this is one of the ideas I have taken away, it is a headband with felt decor. The idea I had seen was with hearts for valentines, but we changed it up a little. My 12 year old had the idea to make one for Easter, with an Easter egg! So here it is... Our first project with a twist.

Well, I am here.

I started this blog a long time ago, but never posted anything to it!! Well now I am determined to get it going. I am researching anything and everything about Blogs, and learning more and more!

I am also helping my 12 year old daughter start her own Fashion Blog too.

I cant wait to put some things together and start posting away!!
